Flore started out as an athlete at a very young age and competed nationally gymnastics competitions.<\/p>\n

As a kid, you could find Flore organizing her friends into dance routines anytime they got together.<\/p>\n

When asked what she wanted to be when she grew up, she said, \u201cA dancer!\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

\n<\/a><\/p>\n

Her passion for dancing grew and she trained in Jazz, Rock\u2019n Roll, Salsa, Ballroom, Latin, Lindy-Hop, Boogie-Woogie, West Coast Swing.<\/p>\n

Flore said \u201cI fell in love with couple dancing, because I love the things you can share with people without talking. Everything is about the connection.\u201d Flore couldn\u2019t decide which dance she loved the most, though. She managed to dance all of them actively, and she excelled in them. \u201cI want to do everything, try everything, be everything,\u201d Flore said.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

\"Show<\/a><\/p>\n

In 2007, she joined the \u2018Feeling Dance Show\u2019, one of the most prestigious partner dance companies in Paris, and this is where her career as a dance professional in Boogie Woogie began.<\/p>\n

Her national breakthrough was the victory of a major French Dance TV Show with her Boogie partner Yann-Alrick Mortreuil in 2011, which led to major international showcases and starring in different movies and music videos.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

\"Social<\/a><\/p>\n

Then she discovered West Coast Swing, which offered what she loved about dancing: It was a marriage between the character performance in Latin and the playfulness of swing and Lindy.<\/p>\n

You get powerful, sexy, jazzy\u2026 and you get play. And you can dance to all styles of music. It\u2019s versatile in a way that most styles can\u2019t be, as some styles are attached to one kind of music. \u201cYou can be so many different characters!\u201d Flore observed.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

\"Flore<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cIt was hard to dance different characters in the beginning but then I learned that it wasn\u2019t me, I was just playing someone. When you get that, it\u2019s amazing, you can suddenly be everything! And you can be who you are at the same time.\u201d<\/p>\n

This spirit of \u201cyou can be anyone\u201d is the spirit Flore gives to her students. It\u2019s why she loves to teach. \u201cI want to help you trust in yourself, trust more in your body.\u201d She knows that it can be hard to break out of your shell and not be afraid, especially for female followers. \u201cI love when I see dancers become \u2018who they are.’\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

\"Simple<\/a><\/p>\n

She especially values working with students over an extended period of time. \u201cI love it when I can coach someone and help them work on the things they are shy about. I like to study my students and help them grow.”<\/p>\n

It is from this passion for dance and wanting to help her students \u201cfind themselves\u201d that the Westy Solo Team project was born. An international solo troupe, a large family of mutual aid.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
